My name is Victoria Rothwell and I live in the wonderful Tilston countryside. I lead a busy (and somewhat hectic!) life as a mum to my six-year-old son, Teddy, my three-year-old twin daughters, Hetty and Floss and my huge newfoundland dog, Boris. Between the three kids and Boris, no two days are the same and I am always on the go, whether it’s tennis practise or dog-walks, there is always something keeping me busy! When I do get some rare spare time, I like to spend it relaxing with a G&T (or two!) in hand.
Although I love being a mum, I didn’t have the easiest start and unfortunately developed post-natal depression after giving birth to Teddy, and then again after giving birth to the twins. It was a really difficult time but thankfully I had a fantastic husband, family and support network which helped me to pull through. Due to the nature of PND I struggled to return to my previous working positions in fashion but knew I needed to get stuck back into the working world to help me recover. During this time, I had been let down by a number of cleaning services and noted a gap in the market for a reliable, professional housekeeping service – and so, my business The Beautiful Method was born.
At The Beautiful Method, we aim in our everyday work to take care of the pressures of the household, giving people back their spare time. I know just how valuable it is to be free to celebrate all the successes of your family, be they big or small and The Beautiful Method helps people to do this by taking care of all the time-consuming chores any home has to deal with. It is extremely rewarding knowing that we can turn someone’s day around by taking care of their cleaning and ironing and I am thoroughly enjoying watching the business go from strength to strength.
The growth of the business has allowed me to reach a point where we are now able to franchise out – this is extremely exciting and I can’t wait to get stuck into the process. We are looking for like-minded, driven and ambitious women who want to run their own business, be their own boss but with the support and stability that comes with owning a franchise. We pride our business on being family friendly, making it the perfect opportunity for a mum wanting to jump back into the career world like I did. It isn’t going to be an easy process but I am hugely excited for the challenge! I am extremely grateful for the support I have received from Bizmums, it is a fantastic community and I have made so many helpful connections that I am able to turn to if I ever need advice.
