Caradoc medical services were the sponsors of our spring Big Networking events in Shropshire and Cheshire
Established in 2009, Caradoc is the sister company of out-of-hours healthcare provider Shropdoc.
Initially set up to negotiate better buying terms for Shropdoc and local GP practices, Caradoc has since grown into a national buying consortium and now works with a range of businesses including osteopaths, therapists and care homes.
Through the collective buying power of 25,000 members, Caradoc can negotiate more competitive prices and terms with suppliers than members could if they purchased goods and services individually. It is free to join the buying group and as a not-for-profit organisation, surplus is invested into local health initiatives.
Caradoc continues to widen its membership and has seen opportunities to support therapists. Peter Masters, Caradoc Business Manager explains: “For practitioners who are self-employed or who own a very small practice, essential supplies and equipment for the treatment room can be very costly.
“As Caradoc is a consortium we are able to use a collective buying power to bring down costs on key items required by therapist members. And as we have a number of therapists on board now, we decided to create an online shop via the Caradoc websites to make it easily accessible”
The shop focuses on a range of core products under three categories – medical supplies and equipment, stationery and office supplies and treatment room and janitorial supplies. Orders can be made directly via the online shop with some great savings to be made.
Plus, if member cannot find what they are looking for online there are nearly 100 Caradoc approved suppliers to help out. Between them the suppliers provide a wide range of products and services including stationery, medical consumables, uniforms, telephony solutions, insurance, HR and employment support and much more.
